Born from a Need for Better
It started in a Lehigh dorm room with a simple frustration: why was moving out so chaotic, expensive, and stressful? The existing solutions were either overpriced corporate movers who didn't understand student life, or unreliable peer-to-peer options with no accountability.

2023
The Original Blueprint
Mountain Movers was founded on a simple realization. Coming from California with no car and no local storage options, our founder saw a gap in the market. What started as a personal necessity turned into a side hustle designed to simplify the move-out process for students in the same position.
2024
First Campus Presence
Establishing the model at Lehigh University. We launched our first official season with 34 clients. By working day and night, we proved that a student-led team could handle the logistical intensity of move-out week without the need for a corporate infrastructure.
2025
Scaling the Operation
Growth and Integration. We returned to Lehigh and grew our reach to 100+ clients, moving over 5,000 lbs of inventory. This year marked our transition to an official entity, forming strategic partnerships with local businesses like Playbowls, Donerds Donuts, and Eureka! to provide added value and discounts to our customers.
2026
West Coast Expansion
Building a National Presence. Mountain Movers has expanded to the West Coast, establishing a presence at several Bay Area campuses. Beyond logistics, we are focused on professional development—helping our student operating managers leverage their experience to land competitive jobs and internships. We are currently developing a dedicated app to further streamline the moving experience.
